Do I Need Operations Consulting? 

Let’s start here. Do you have issues in your business? I’d say 99.5% of people would answer yes pretty quickly. There are no perfect organizations but there are optimal and flourishing organizations. Take my quiz to see if you fit that description. 

If not, there’s a chance you need a strategic overhaul of some area of your business. This is where it can get tricky though. 

When I set out to start this business (it was kind of an accident). I, like any good CEO, did a Google search to learn what already existed and how my idea compared. Unfortunately, at the time Google did not pull an extensive list, and I went into this thinking it was a pretty original idea that I could help shape a new niche market. 

Much to my surprise as I got farther into this process, it’s an incredibly saturated market. You can find almost any source of help labeled underneath “operations consulting.” Some examples include Business Analysts, Online Business Managers (OBMs), Fractional COOs, Strategic Consultants, Operations Consultants, Business Process Managers (BPM), and a hundred other titles (maybe not literally, but it seems that way at times). 

With so many options it is no wonder we sit in analysis paralysis. You may say to yourself, I don’t even know if I need this, let alone which specific source I need. But that’s where that handy quiz you took earlier can help (if you didn’t take it, scroll back up and take it). 

Why WM?

WM Consulting isn’t as niched as many of these entities so you may find one of the other sources to be more effective for your specific needs - and that’s great! My goal is to help you run more effectively and efficiently and if that requires a more specific niche, pursue it and move the needle forward in your company. 

That said, WM Consulting is a bit different in the fact that we bring high-level strategy, constraint identification, surveys/data collection, and processes together to help you drive more effective change throughout your organization. We provide support throughout the process, including implementation. How many times have you hired an external company and they’ve worked on the specific pain point then turned over the deliverables with a “good luck” and call us if you need anything? That’s not our strategy. Unfortunately, constraints don’t end, they often reveal other constraints as we become more agile and scale. We work to help you through the process from strategy to execution.
